VIRTUAL CHOIR

Even in the era of social distancing, we can still sing together.

As Director of Stanford Talisman A Capella in a COVID-19 era, I brought together current and alumni Talisman singers from all around the world to bring joy and hope.
The first video, Talisman's rendition of Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing, was organized by myself and John Okhiulu (my director successor and Stanford Class of 2021). In remembrance of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and many others, we collected videos from 72 Talisman singers to sing the Black national anthem. I collected the videos and edited the audio, while John edited the video. Our video of Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing opened the San Francisco Giant's game at Oracle Park.

I organized the second video, Talisman’s rendition of Amazing Grace, for the Stanford 2020 Virtual Commencement ceremony. I collected the videos and edited the audio, while Kurt Hickman (Stanford’s Associate Director for Visual Media) edited the video. It premiered during the ceremony on June 14th, 2020.
